Today’s reading: Mark 14:1-21

“She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial.” Mark‬ ‭14:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

She did what she could, and it was perceived as waste. If Jesus were anyone other than the Son of God, this would have definitely been a waste. Yet because of who Jesus was (and still is), this was an act of worship, not frivolity.

I also wonder how much more good would be done by us as Christians if we would simply give to our potential like this woman did.
