Reaching the Roar Campaign
In August of 2021, we started this campaign to purchase the house located at 1139 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. and the piece of land next to it at 1101 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. Our goal was to raise one million dollars in three years. Though we came up short of our goal, we were still able to raise over $600,000 by July of 2024, which allowed us the opportunity to finance the remaining amount. Heading into our 2025 year-end giving campaign, we had raised $784,513.98. As of 1/9/26, we met our million-dollar goal (and beyond).
On 5/1/2026, we officially paid off the mortgage. What a blessed time it was to recount what God had done with the former property owner, which included a time of prayer together. Now we have the opportunity to ask God what could be next for the rest of the undeveloped land at 1101 Dr. MLK Jr. St.
Since 2021, we have used the Campus House for all the purposes we had set out to achieve. Young men have found a place to live and find community, Bible studies are meeting regularly, we hosted so many events, and we found a place to call home as a ministry. We hope that we’ve honored the name of Jesus during this time, and we pray He’ll continue to do so in this place for years to come.

The Why Behind The Property
1. Housing
(for Indy College Students)
The nearly 4,000 square foot house, with 5 bedrooms and 3 ½ baths, will accommodate up to seven Christian students who are looking to grow in their faith amidst their college experience in downtown Indianapolis.
2. Hosting (Bible Studies and Discipleship)
In a world of uncertainty, it has been our dream to provide consistency for students through a dedicated Bible study space. This house will provide ample space and a welcoming atmosphere for our 10+ small groups to meet weekly.
3. Connecting (Fellowship Events)
This property is located a half-mile from the edge of IU Indy and Purdue in Indy’s campuses. This will make it an ideal spot for hosting intentional times for community, such as meals and game nights (good, clean fun).
4. Working (Office Space)
Having a permanent space to complete administrative duties has always been a matter of prayer for us. Having our own four walls to prepare Bible studies and meet with students will be invaluable.
5. Lasting (Longevity)
One of our values as a ministry is to ensure that we leave behind something healthy, sustaining, and life-giving for future generations. Owning this house and the attached land will help bring this desire to fruition.
