Today’s reading: Mark 10:32-52

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” ‭Mark‬ ‭10:43-45‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Leaders seek ways to serve others.

This should change how we view our role in the local church. Am I attending to be fed or am I attending to make a difference? Am I attending to be entertained or am I attending to encourage?

This passage also has the ability to transform our friendships. Who doesn’t want a friend like Jesus, one who sacrifices for others, one whose only agenda is love?
